We are all concerned with the impact of
the Corona virus on our day to day lives as well as nationally and
globally. This is an unprecedented outbreak and recommendations from
the CDC are changing almost daily. Our focus is on the health and
well being of our congregation members and surrounding community. In
effort to take good preventive measures and protect everyone’s health, we will
take the following steps, effective immediately. As the situation
changes and hopefully improves, we will make adjustments to the plans.
TCNSK will be closed Thursday, March 12
and Friday, March 13. TCNSK families will be notified of any changes to the regular
school schedule.
Sunday worship will continue as scheduled
at both 9 am and 11:15 am services. During worship, we will attempt to
minimize physical contact by:
- Sharing the peace by
greeting people beside you in the pews while avoiding shaking hands
- Rather than passing the
offering plate, you may instead place your offering in the plates held by
the ushers in the back of the church as you leave
- During communion, we will
receive only the host (bread). It may feel different; the church has long
taught that Communion with just one element – receiving only bread or only
wine – is valid.
- We will serve coffee and
juice during coffee hour and a limited supply of pre-wrapped snacks.
- Sunday school and Adult
Faith Formation will not meet for the next two weeks.
All other church activities are cancelled
up to and including Saturday, March 28th.
This includes all meetings,
choir rehearsals, confirmation class, TCNSK open house, as well as any outside
groups that meet in our buildings. We will not meet
next Wednesday, March 18 for our Lenten supper and dinner church. Those
who do have meetings already scheduled may continue to do so by conference
calls or email.
Should the need arise, we are identifying
an outside cleaning company to provide a deep cleaning of all our spaces to
ensure a proper disinfection. We are blessed to have a diligent operations team
taking extra measures to keep our church sanitary.
We encourage you to continue to support
our mission by mailing your offering or consider on-line giving. (http://trinityfairview.com/give)
While our activities may be limited in the coming weeks, our expenses will
remain the same.
We realize this is a difficult time for
many. Please pray for those affected directly and indirectly by this
insidious virus. If you are in need of any assistance, please reach
out to us through the church office at 610.584.8411.
For information specific to the
coronavirus, you may go to the websites of either the CDC or the Montgomery
County Department of Public Health at:

As we love and serve God, we also love
and serve our neighbor. Remember to check in with those around you. Perhaps a
neighbor who can’t get out would appreciate a phone call or help
with grocery shopping. There are many ways God will use our hands and hearts in
the coming days to help our neighbor.
Finally, know that you are held in
prayer. Should you need to talk, contact Pastor Skyle at 610.584.8411 or pastorskrea@gmail.com.
