Click on the ELCA logo to download the Model Constitution of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (2016). A Constitution is a central component of any congregation's identity, and critical to its function as a legal entity under the ELCA. Every congregation member is encouraged to review the Model Constitution in preparation for the ongoing business of discussing and developing their congregation's constitutional practice.
